{Visiting the Tallest Building in the World}

· United Arab Emirates ·

The title of the tallest building in the world is not one to be taken lightly.

The Burj Khalifa definitely lives up to its name as it stands unyielding at 2,722 feet tall (829.8 m), and offers fantastic views as far as the eye can see.

Following a quick elevator ride to the top, we were greeted with jaw dropping views of the horizon.

My eyes immediately focused on the exquisite lagoon with its captivating pop of turquoise color.

I can still remember the peaceful feeling the birds-eye view provided.

The busy chaos of everyday life continued down below, yet time stood still in our isolated world above.

Part of me did not want to leave the calmness of the moment, while the other part longed to have my feet back on solid ground once more!

    The building is amazing. I visited but didn’t have time to go up. I just took pictures from the ground and had a hard time fitting the whole building in! Next time I am in Dubai, I want to go up!

      I too was surprised how tall it was and how surprisingly difficult it was to capture it all in one shot. Our time there was also too short and we didn’t get to experience other things we would have loved to see. I supposed we will both have to return again one day soon, ha!

    love the photos, I never made it to Dubai, but my husband worked there many times (they build a huge MAGGI factory in the middle of the dessert and he did a part of the programming 🙂 ) so next time I definitly have to join him.
