{Road Less Traveled to a Hidden Gem}

May 3, 2017 2 Comments

When we were planning out our time in India, we found so many unique and great places that soon made the short list of where we wanted to go.

One place in particular was Kusum Sarovar Temple.

The intricate architectural detail of the red stone reflecting off the pond below created a breathtaking sight.

Within the many steps leading into the pond were locals relaxing, eating or washing their clothes.

Although we were in the middle of the bustling city of Mathura, the atmosphere felt quiet and relaxed.

While the experience was great the part that stood out the most was the fact that this unique landmark is not your typical tourist destination.

We were the only tourists around for miles.

There is just something so invigorating about discovering and having a location all to yourself; it brings about a new kind of excitement to the journey.

In the end, we were more than thrilled to have had experienced this hidden gem and were happy we took the road less traveled to get there!

      We hired a driver for the day to take us from Agra back to Delhi. We made as stop here along the way. It was worth it but definitely not an easy find, ha! Thanks dear.
