While en route to India, we had an unexpected stop in New Orleans.

Apparently I needed more blank pages in my passport to obtain a visa upon arriving to India.

The only solution was to stop in this city on the way in order to get more pages added in.

It turned out to be a blessing in disguise as we were able to visit a city we hadn’t explored previously.

With almost a full day of exploring we found ourselves walking through streets that had plenty of character and excitement.

New Orleans is most well know for its fun vibe and historical charm, it certainly did not disappoint.

One of my favorite aspects of the city was seeing horse carriages all around making it as if time had stood still.

As we continued to explore we could hear the magical sounds of jazz which filled the air at random corners.

Of course we had to stop at Cafe de Monde to try a beignet, such a wonderful southern delicacy.

In the end our unexpected detour resulted in a wonderful experience!
