{Family Color Coordinating Series: HAWAII}

June 19, 2017 0 Comments

Earlier this year we had the opportunity to visit the exquisite Big Island in Hawaii.

Of course you cannot go wrong taking a vacation to Hawaii.

While there, we enjoyed swimming, snorkeling with turtles, relaxing, exploring volcanos, visiting water falls and even cliff diving.

For this month’s Coordinate Travel Fashion Series, I am focusing on the outfits we wore during our time there.

In spite of our many adventures, we spent most of the trip swimming or playing close to a beach, so the majority of our outfits include swimwear and covers-ups.

Just looking at these photos make me want to transport myself back there.

Fashion Travel Tip: When coordinating swimwear I usually buy my girls matching pieces which can either be identical or be the same pattern but different looks. Based upon that, I pull colors from their swimsuits and find pieces for the rest of the family to wear. I have found that matching swimsuits actually make it easier to keep tabs on my kids when they are in a pool or at the beach.  This is especially true when wearing colors that are bold and unique. Lastly, no beach outfits are completewithout some fun beach accessories such as sunglasses and hats to keep us safely guarded against the sun.

Unknowingly we coordinated perfectly with the Hula Show performers, ha!

Wearing green colored swimsuits at the Punalu’u Black Sand Beach was an added bonus to keeping a close eye on the kiddos and hubs.
