{Getting Lost in Dreamy Multnomah Falls}

July 7, 2017 4 Comments

Sometimes you see an image that is so incredible it becomes engraved in your mind.When I fist saw a photo of Multnomah Falls I thought it had to be a painting, it was too enchanting and beautiful to be real. To my surprise it was an actual location and from that moment on I was eager to see it for myself.

I was very surprised how easy and accessible the waterfall was. Just a short walk from the parking lot. The first glance at the Multnomah Falls leaves you in awe, such jaw dropping landscape in perfect harmony with the grand size of the waterfall. We decided to the hike up the fall so we could take on the views at different levels. The lush green scenery and friendly fluffy caterpillars were an added touch that kept our family entertained along the way. We only made it halfway up the waterfall as our kiddos were getting tired, and without any safety railing along the edge, we decided that was high enough. Still our time there felt peaceful and magical and I am so glad we were able to experience its beauty firsthand.

Of course we had to finish off our fantastic time there with a delicious ice cream cone.

    This place is definitely on my list, but maybe in a couple of years now, there are plans for some other activity. Thank you for such a nice article.

    I used to live in Seattle and travel to Portland at least once a year to visit relatives there. Out of the blue, my father drove us to Multnomah Falls on one of those trips. I’d never heard of it before, but we had SO MUCH FUN hiking to the top and taking pictures. Later, when I was on a road trip with a bunch of college friends, I stopped to show them Multnomah Falls. They loved it too. And by the way, one of those friends became my husband! I loved re-living my memories through your photos!
